Exactly one year ago today, I was at Topshop in Soho with my cousin Kristen. We were perusing the shoe section when she asked me what would go best with her outfit…you see I have always been able to pick out something for someone else within minutes but when it comes to dressing myself, well that’s another story. It was there that I thought maybe I should try and break into the styling world but that wasn’t big enough for me. So I gathered up a few close friends and started brainstorming ideas and from there Allied Styles was born.

I knew I wanted to work with a certain type of client. I didn’t want to be like everyone else and was on the hunt for people who shared my passion for creativity. I wanted to work with people who would otherwise be turned away but had stellar and unique ideas nonetheless. Shortly after this revelation I styled my first music video and ever since then I haven’t missed a day of work.

When I started this company it was never about the money, it’s always been about the experience. So, as Allied Styles turns 1-year-old I’d like to thank my incredible friends, co-workers, and clients for an incredible year.
