On November 12th the Lower East Side got a chance to taste the collaborative efforts of some of New York’s rising creative powerhouses in the form of the Golden Pony’s “Million Pieces” premiere at The Living Theatre. Golden Pony lead singer Timothy Monkiewicz and his crew of party entrepreneurs at BangOn! NYC gathered family, friends, locals and the usual drifters for a screening of the band’s new music video. Produced by Marial Maher of Seasick Mama fame and directed by Casey Randerson, its lofty, fairy-tale imagery stood in contrast to the energetic live performance that followed. Both of which the packed house ate up, perhaps encouraged by funky, eclectic DJ sets from Chances With Wolves and flowing taps the whole night through.
