We asked young creatives working in the fashion industry to recount their Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week experiences. Each journal entry tells a different perspective; sharing the good, the bad, the exhausting and fabulous moments that is fashion week. We’d like to introduce you to Jared.

As Editor in Chief of a fairly new fashion blog, lowefactor, this past New York fashion week was my team and I’s first experience of the rush and chaos that fashion entails. We covered 13 major shows including: Carlos Campos, Concept Korea, Monique Lhuillier, Simon Spurr, Loden Dager, Temperley London and The Blonds.
The scenes were chaotic. There were celebrities, plenty of bubbly and mobs of photogs. Yet there was one moment that was endearing. I got to sit behind none other than the devil or high priestess of fashion herself, Anna Wintour, at the Simon Spurr spring 2011 men’s show. I took an iconic picture of Wintour on my iphone. She seemed so vulnerable and her brew of java courtesy of one of her Andy Sachs (The Devil Wears Prada) next to her was quite ironic.
We also had the pleasure of conducting video interviews with two of our favorite designers during New York Fashion Week: Emerging NY based designer, Ann Yee and indie phenom Rachel Antonff (who, just like teen blogger Tavi, we absolutely enjoy)
